A PLACE TO START

Care that grows
with your child.

You don’t have to know exactly what kind of support you need. Start with what feels hard, and what you hope will change.

01 / THE EARLY DAYS

Infant feeding
& lactation

Support with breast and bottle feeding, latch and positioning, pumping questions, and making a feeding plan that fits your family.

Explore this care

A visit begins with your feeding story: what you’re noticing, what you’ve tried, and how feeding feels for you and your baby. Your questions and preferred feeding choices guide the conversation.

02 / GROWING TOGETHER

Pediatric
feeding therapy

A thoughtful approach to new foods, textures, feeding skills, and mealtimes that have become challenging—for toddlers and older children.

Explore this care

We look at your child’s routines, experiences with food, developmental and medical history, and your family’s priorities to understand where support could help.

03 / FINDING THEIR VOICE

Speech
& language

Support for communication that matters in everyday life: sharing needs, connecting with others, and participating in family routines.

Explore this care

We begin with your child’s strengths and the moments when communication feels difficult. Family observations and meaningful goals help shape the next steps.

Care begins with understanding your child’s individual needs and the support that is appropriate for them.

THE PAPERBOAT APPROACH

A whole child.
A whole family.
A shared direction.

Feeding and communication are part of a much bigger story. Your child’s history, relationships, routines, and strengths all belong in the conversation.

01

We listen first.

You know your child in ways no assessment can capture. Your observations and goals are the starting point.

02

We look at the whole picture.

We consider medical and developmental history, previous support, and what happens in everyday routines.

03

We make a plan together.

Thoughtful recommendations should feel understandable and practical, with room for your family’s needs.

04

We welcome collaboration.

Your pediatrician, specialists, and other therapists are part of your child’s story. Coordinated care starts with shared understanding.

YOUR FIRST VISIT

A little clarity.
A clear next step.

You don’t need to have all the answers before a first visit. A few observations—and the questions on your mind—are a good beginning.

  1. 1

    Share your story

Your concerns, your child’s history, the support you’ve already tried, and what matters most to your family.

  2. 2

    Understand together

A thoughtful look at your child’s strengths and challenges, with time to listen and ask questions.

  3. 3

    Choose a direction

Discuss recommendations, priorities, and next steps that make sense for your child and your everyday life.

A FEW HELPFUL ANSWERS

Questions
are welcome.

Wondering where to begin?
That’s a good place to start.

Do I need to know which service to choose?

No. Begin with your concerns and your family’s goals. The first conversation helps clarify whether feeding, lactation, speech and language, or another kind of support is the appropriate next step.

Can we talk about both breast and bottle feeding?

Yes. Your family’s feeding choices belong in the conversation. Bring questions about breastfeeding, bottle feeding, pumping, or a combination of approaches.

Is this just for babies?

Infant feeding and lactation are central to Paperboat. Pediatric feeding and speech and language support extend that care to toddlers and older children.

What if my child already has a care team?

Bring the names of your child’s providers and a summary of previous evaluations or therapy. That history helps keep everyone’s understanding connected.

How do I arrange an appointment?
